Mamed Khalidov: Remember the Name
Whether the world knows it or not, Mamed Khalidov (20-3-1 MMA) is a top ten fighter. His win over Jorge Santiago (21-8 MMA, 1-2 UFC, #5 IWMMAR) opened a lot of eyes to a fighter no one knew about. A prohibitive underdog, Khalidov seemed to be the only person who knew he wasn’t supposed to win. Stopping a top five middleweight in under two minutes is impressive, but what’s frightening about Khalidov is not the explosive finish of a top fighter. WVR Champ Santiago to Fight at Sengoku 11
Jorge Santiago (21-7 MMA, 1-2 UFC, #5 IWMMAR) has been on fire the last few years. Steroid Abuser Fight!
Well, now that the idea is in my head, I’m sort of liking the idea of Antonio Silva (12-1 MMA) taking on former UFC heavyweight champion and two time steroid abuser Josh Barnett (24-5 MMA, 4-1 UFC, #3 IWMMAR) . Silva, who is fighting in Japan while serving a suspension, following a positive test for Boldenone, has suggested that he might like to fight Barnett in the Sengoku organization for a World Victory Road heavyweight title. Of course, Silva, intelligently, shut the hell up about the… (Full Story)
