Reljic to face Dollaway at UFC 110
By Josh Stein on Dec 06, 2009
Goran Reljic (8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) may be one of the most exciting prospects in the UFC middleweight division, but he is certainly the most exciting middleweight who has yet to debut in that division.
The Croatian beat down Wilson Gouveia (12-6 MMA, 6-3 UFC) in his UFC debut, fighting in the lightheavyweight division, but Reljic hasn’t stepped in the cage since TKOing Gouveia in May, 2008, because he’s been out due to back surgery.
I can say that Reljic is one of the most exciting fighters I’ve had the opportunity to watch in some time and, assuming he can make 185 (which he should be able to), he’ll be one of the largest fighters in the division. Reljic, it seems to me, is what would happen if Mirko CroCop had come down to lightheavyweight and earned a purplebelt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I expect big things from Reljic in one of the UFC’s most competitive divisions.
Reljic is set to take on C.B. Dollaway (9-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) in a fight that will take place at the UFC’s first event on Australian soil, on February 21, 2010.
