Agreed 100% and until someone else comes along that can impose their will on him, he will remain the best heavyweight. Like you said he beats everyone at THEIR game.

Bill, what frightens me is that he'll go into a fight and then beat a guy in an area he should be a definitive underdog.

He outwrestled Coleman for a round before (and he's admitted this) letting Coleman take him down to the guard so he could catch the armbar).

He stood and traded with CroCop, Arlovski and Sylvia, all of whom were supposed to be better strikers. Turns out, not so much.

He worked through Nogueira's guard, which was supposed to be the most devastating part of his game.

That, when the book closes on Fedor Emelianenko, will be the greatest part of his legacy.

A lot of people talk about who Fedor has beat and say that his resume is nothing to brag about. I say that if you look at it he has beaten fighters with impressive resumes. But perhaps the thing that stands out is that he beats all "styles." Strikers have fared no better than wrestlers, or BJJ experts, etc.. and even though most of his wins have been by submission the KO power he has is ridiculous, and as evident in both the Rogers and Arlovski fight recently he really only needs one shot. I think Rogers actually fought the best fight he could and if he really were to "let his hands go" as he says he should have, the fight might not have gone to the second round.

I thought the entire fight was great. Of course the end was great. Rogers had was very correct when it came to his self-assessment and a pretty good attitude. I thought it was cool that Fedor mentioned a rematch first.

Rogers' ground game was particularly refreshing about the fight. He should really hold his head high, but do all the things to prepare mentally IF he gets a rematch against Emelianenko.

Fedor, what more can you say? He can take a punch and deliver. HIS hooks look frightenly fast.
