Duffee out of UFC 107
By Josh Stein on Nov 04, 2009
Paul Buentello (24-10 MMA, 3-1 UFC) is going to have to wait for news about his opponent at least a little while. He’ll no longer be taking on prospect Todd Duffee (5-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) at UFC 107.
That said, Buentello may end up with a similarly tough opponent. Pride veteran and submission fighter Mike Russow (12-1-0-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) is being thrown around as a name. Personally, I’d like to see Paul take on a solid striker like Pat Barry (5-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) for the opportunity to really see Buentello’s game showcased against someone who’s not going to look to take him down.
