Bring Out the King
By Josh Stein on Oct 14, 2009
Less than two months after Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal (5-0 MMA) made his American debut, he signed with Strikeforce and will probably be making an extended stay stateside. The Division I wrestling All-American is coming off of a 25 second destruction of Mark Kerr (15-11-0-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) in M-1.
Lawal seems to be a good addition to a growing lightheavyweight division in Strikeforce. While their middleweight and heavyweight divisions already have solid talent pools, King Mo will help build an improving division headed by freshly minted champion Gegard Mousasi (26-2-1 MMA, #7 IWMMAR).
