Belfort vs. Mousasi may not happen
By Garrett Bailey on May 27, 2009

Remember that awesome fight that all the sites were saying was official between Vitor Belfort and Gegard Mousasi? Turns out it can possibly not happen if Belfort does not agree to fight at a catch weight. Belfort wants the fight at 185 while Mousasi rather not cut weight anymore. If this fight doesn’t happen it will be a loss for the now un-rumored Affliction III event August 5th. The event will still have the headline fight of Fedor vs. Barnett, but the rest of the show could be BS if things don’t work out between the two. Not only is this an awesome match up, it also will be a very entertaining fight with someone getting stopped.
Someone needs to go back in time and fix this, Terminator style.

I respect both fighters decisions to hang in their weight classes. Mousasi was talking about his difficulties making weight for a while, after all he is still growing. Belfort is at that point in his life where he knows his body. how much strength and endurance he will have at 185lbs.
With that said, Mousasi is looking like a top fighter period. It would be cool if he finds his way into the Octagon.
I think that Victor Belfort can fight until the light heavyweight. More than it would be very dangerous to him because Mousasi is a great fighter and don´t have to change his weight to fight in Heavyweight.
I like very much Belfort but I think that this fight will be so hard to him!!!
So… I will expected and see what will happening!!!!!
Go Victor
