The video is back up exclusively on MMA Opinion if you want to watch Dana White as he goes off on Loretta Hunt after she brought up the fact that some managers are not being credentialed at UFC events. There’s a lot of controversy over this video, so check it out before the Zuffa lawyers threaten to sue us for all the money we don’t have.

I also posted this video on thegarv.com earlier. lol I was shocked when I saw this video. Loretta seems cool and is a credible source as far as I’m concerned.
Dino, generally her insider information is good (though her analysis is never something I’ve particularly enjoyed), but she did screw this one up. It’s a little ridiculous to base a piece on anonymous sources, and it seems like what Dana is saying about the press passes is true.
Dana definitely comes off as abrasive, but he’s upset that a major outlet for the sport is printing something that makes him look like a jackass when it’s not true.
There’s a general rule about negative publicity, I think: If it’s true, shut up or silently admit to it. If it’s not true, then come out to take them on. Dana took the other a little too hard, but I still think he’s right that this was a crappy thing for Sherdog to publish.
Josh. well said. whats lost in this whole vlog-gate is the fact that loretta hunt did a hit piece on dana and the ufc and she has done it before. some of the bigger blogs have done nothing but write about this over and over and over. i say as long as he apologizes, let it go! but you know his detractors will never do this. i get the feeling that alot of this dana bashing by mma website is due to the fact that he will not credential any mma internet site. i guess i could understand some of their resentments, but look at whose fault that is…Sherdogs! they had credentials but blew it when they leaked results about season 4 of tuf. Sherdog was then banned and no one else has been credentialed since. look at what MMA Payout did. they actually put up telephone-#s for some of the ufc’s biggest sponsers, asking “is this who you want to sponser”. that’s not them reporting on the business side of mma, that’s not even them reporting about mma period, thats them trying to CHANGE peoples opinions on dana white personally. their not EVER going to get dana fired, so i guess this their way of getting back at him. but this will blow over soon, just like fitchgate did, and i can promise you dana and the fertittas have been taking names, and when it the time comes when the ufc does start to credential mma web sites again(if ever) these certain journalists will regret it. nothing wrong at all reprting the story, it was definetly newsworthy, but some have went to far. when i saw this video i didn’t see dana say anything that i hadn’t said myself. iv’e called other men faggots,or fag, but wasn’t referring to them as a homosexual, just using it as a slang term. i would never say it in front of a gay person, because it would be inappropriate. gay people call each other fags all the time, and women refer to other women as bitches or fucking bitches or fucking whores ALL the time. men call each other bitch often as well. now i’m not the president of a billion dollar co., so their is some accountability for dana to be held responsible for, but i’m not going to hold it against dana for life, for saying things that i myself, most people, most mma fans and most of his detractors have probably uttered on a daily basis. once again, as long as he apologizes, that should be the end of it. just my opinion. keep up the good work.
Brent, that’s a lot of text, but I think I agree with much of what you have to say.
Generally, I don’t use the terms conversationally. I don’t address people or refer to people as “bitches” or “faggots,” because there are some many other words that apply much better. It’s basically the same reason I don’t use racial epithets (though “bitch” or “faggot” don’t generally have the same impact).
I won’t defend the fact that Dana’s an inarticulate douche some of the time, but in this case, he’s happens to be in the right.
Dana is right. Loretta is a fucking moron.
As the head of a legitimate sports organization, Dana needs to take a clue from other heads of various sports leagues. He wants the UFC to be respected, stop acting like some street thug! I don’t care if that is the way your “core audience” acts and a bunch of idiots go “yay Dana!” because when sponsors start pulling out then we will see what happens. And look at the video he’s telling these guys not to curse because SPIKE gets fined for airing it and the fine is substantial. Perhaps enough to stop airing live fights in the future. But Dana cannot expect his fighters to control themselves after a fight when he cannot control himself during a stupid video blog. Whether he is right about the people in question or not. Atleast he is getting some media coverage right? Albeit not good.

sports is sports, why should people care what dana has to say, the world isn’t some fairlyand, ufc is real fighting with the toughest guys in the world. Go away loretta hunt
