Affliction vs. UFC or Todd Beard vs. Lorenzo Fertitta

“They threaten us personally which is hilarious. Dana White, Lorenzo Fertitta they’re tough guys. They’re old school mafia guys or wanna-be old school mafia guys. Their grandfather built their business. They’re nothing. They put (Station Casinos) $5 billion in debt. They’re in big trouble right now. They’re going out of business in February, guaranteed. Station Casinos will go out of business in February, for sure. Lorenzo Fertitta … kiss my fucking ass motherfucker. Dana White, by the way, the t-shirt guys are gonna fuck your ass up.”
If you don’t know who Todd Beard is, he’s one of the owners of Affliction, and unlike Dana White and the Ferttita brothers, he apparently didn’t have a childhood filled with a ton of money and isn’t afraid to mess around. This should get fun.

Will any website bother to try and get a follow up from this guy? What was going on during that interview? It’s hard to tell if he was ripped on drugs or just being a dramatic douchebage.
Lorenzo calling him, wanting to set up a fist fight and then Dana texting him wanting to set up a seperate fist fight. C’mon, this is gold.
Details from what I understand:
UFC says to Affliction: “get out of the fight business and we’ll let you promote your T-shirts in the UFC.”
Affliction says “F you, we’ll compete dollar for dollar with you”
…and apparently a big war is on the way. Fun!
I’m pretty sure that Lorenzo doesn’t have much technical skill as a fighter, and my understanding is that Todd Beard is a pretty bad dude. Maybe Dana would bust out some of the amateur boxing he didn’t get to use on Tito.

Todd would ruin each of those guys, he’s just stated the fact’s .
Affliction is worn by A. Fighters who are being paid to wear that item of clothing. Or B. Douchebags who drink Jager Bombs and live with their parents.

Earlier this year, Beard launched an attack on another long-time business partner eModa.com, an online retail giant. This site practically kick-started ‘Affliction’ selling literally tens of thousands of the Skull obsessed shirts when the brand hit the market back in late Spring 2003
Emoda.com was the first online retailer and gave instant gratification to consumers who saw their favorite fights all of a sudden wearing the distinctive apparel into the octagon.
At first it was a great partnership, eModa had the access to the trend conscious consumer and Affliction produced the trendiest shirt ever to hit the mainstream Dunbar adds” 2008 we planned to increase Then out of the blue the relationship went sour and very similar to the Couture situation, it was Beard’s jealousy and paranoia that got the better of him and destroyed the eModa/Affliction relationship!
The reason: eModa (just to remind you a retailer) put what Todd felt was a rival clothing brand up on the site. Sources close to Affliction camp said that Todd was not unhappy eModa.com sold brands that he felt competed with Affliction, Which were other brands who also tapped into the professional fighting market. Nevertheless eModa.com tried to resolve the situation but Beard’s temper was out of control. He began bugging Dan Kogan’s phone and threatening him – an Affliction insider said he actually had a picture of Dan on a dartboard in his office next to that of Dana White on another one! I guess Kim Couture has her own dartboard frame now hence the restraining order! Todd then sued eModa for Affliction products he had previous sold to the online retailer however when it appeared he may not win that suit he then sued eModa for selling counterfeit Affliction products.
Either way Todd Beard seems to have no concern when it comes to threatening others even the UFC HW Champion’s wife! His violent tendencies and erratic behavior in business make him a very dangerous person.
–eModa is still involved in the lawsuit with Beard and Dunbar adds “it is unfortunate Mr. Beard allows his emotion and temper to dictate his business because his brand was in the top 50 out of the more than 200 designer eModa.com carry.” “eModa has done several photo shoots with UFC fighters including Randy Couture. “He (Randy Couture) and his wife are stand up people and were a pleasure to work with.”
